P-N Junction as a rectifier: Current flows one way.The diode will allow current to flow in one direction, and virtually no current to flow in the opposite direction, depending on the polarity of the voltage. When the reversing switch is closed, the current in the circuit is displayed on the screen using the projection ammeter.
