Sire's Polytrope.

Sire's Polytrope. A gyroscope is mounted in a gimbal,and the gimbal is attached to an arm that can be swung up or down by the desired number of degrees. The gyro is spun with the motorized spinner, and the apparatus is rotated about the vertical axis: approximating what effect the earth's rotation would have on a gyro at a particular latitude. Speed controller must be used with gyro spinner.
