Phototube circuit allows current flow in one direction only. This demo is similar to XX, except that no colored filters are used; and a reversing switchhas been placed in the circuit so that the bias can be reversed on the photocell to show that almost no current flows in one bias direction. In other words, the photocell acts like a diode.
